Free Instructions On How To Do It.
Many people don’t even know you can be a seller of physical products on Amazon and make a very good living for
little to no cost. Selling on Amazon can be very profitable if done right. Amazon’s program is called
FBA or “Fulfilled By Amazon“. It works basically like
eBay but with some very special options.
Option 1: You can ship your item/s to Amazon
using their very discounted shipping rates and Amazon will
sell it, ship it, and handle everything for you. This the “Fulfilled By Amazon” service. Of
course, fees apply so you need to make sure your profit margin is high enough to support it. (Much less work
involved with this option.)
Option 2: You can list your item/s with Amazon
and handle the shipping and any returns yourself. (Very time consuming but also profitable.)
Before I go to Option 3, let me tell you my story.
There are a lot of programs out there that are selling for a lot of money, teaching you how to source your items
to sell. The majority of them tell you to go to garage sales, thrift stores, big box stores ect., and find markdown
items and resell them. I did this and made some good money. However it is VERY time consuming. Some weeks you’ll find great deals and others you
find nothing. I wanted a steady income and this wasn’t cutting it for me. There are also a lot of so called
wholesale dropshipping and offers for such lists. Believe me, I have bought into my
share with much disappointment. Then, by accident I stumbled upon a service the “BIG BOYS’ (high volume sellers)
were using. They had a fee of less than $40 per month with no contract and a free trial. I was spending more than
that a month for gasoline looking for products at Wall-Mart and Home Depot. I still can’t believe what this service
does. First off they have over 1.5 Million TRUE wholesale, dropship products and the
wholesale prices are fantastic!
Are you interested in drop shipping on Amazon, but don’t know how to get
started? Then keep reading. I’m going to show you, step-by-step how to start a practically zero-risk drop ship
business on Amazon.
I’m going to show you two things. I’m going to reveal how to find drop shippers
who sell items for low enough prices that you can make money from reselling them. That is right: forget those tiny
margins on Doba. And on that note, I’m also going to show you how to find opportunities in the market for you to
dropship items that have huge profit margins. And I’m going to do that by showing you the process I took to find an
item that has over 100%
profit margins!
That is right. Drop shipping doesn’t have to mean tiny margins. If you do it the right way, you can
find items with high profit margins and low competition. Don’t believe me? Then keep reading, because not only am I
going to reveal my method for finding these items, I’m going to show you using proof –
a real life case study.
Step 1: Find the Best Amazon Drop Shipping Companies
The easiest way to find the best items for drop shipping is to find reliable low-cost drop shippers
first. Why? Simple: if you find them, then you can take a look over their catalog of items they sell. You can then
compare the list of items on the catalog with the items on Amazon, and find which ones will give you the most
profit.
The way I find new suppliers, is I use SaleHoo.
What is SaleHoo? It is a directory of over 8,000+ drop shippers, wholesalers, manufacturers and
liquidators. For a small subscription cost, you get success to them all. Now, some of you might be wondering why I
use SaleHoo instead of using Google – which is, obviously, free – to track down these suppliers. Well, I’ll tell
you why:
- It is way quicker. With Google, you have to wade through hundreds of results to find a
few suppliers. With SaleHoo, I have immediate access to them.
- Most suppliers you’ll find on Google that are well-priced are scams. It is sad, but yes,
they are too-good-to-be-true. Almost all legitimate suppliers are located in SaleHoo’s directory.
- Unfortunately for them, a lot of these suppliers have TERRIBLE websites that are poorly
optimized for search engines, and manually finding them is nearly impossible.
- SaleHoo has ratings for many of their suppliers in their directory. This lets you quickly
figure out which ones are the best.
It is up to you, but I rely quite heavily on SaleHoo, and I’ll show you why by going through my
process step-by-step.
Firstly, open up the Wholesale Directory. You can get to it by clicking ‘Wholesale Directory’ in the
top menu:
What we want to do is get up all of their suppliers, regardless of
category. To do this, go to the search bar on the page. Without typing anything in to it, click the blue button
with a magnifying glass on it:
You will now see a bunch of random listings, unfiltered. What we are going to do is filter them by
rating, and then by type. So lets get started by filtering them through rating. To do this, click “more options”
and next to Rating above click “doesn’t matter” and a small menu will drop down with
star ratings. Click 4 stars.
This will filter the results so that you only see listings that have 4+ stars. Next, we need to
filter the results to only show drop shippers. To do that, click “all” next to Supplier
type. A menu will drop down. From here, click “dropshippers.”
Now the results will be filtered to only show drop shippers that have been rated 4+ stars:
You can also filter the results to show by country of origin. As I’m based in the USA, I often prefer
to work with USA based drop shippers. And that is it! While a lot of unrated suppliers on SaleHoo will be great, to
get started it is easier to just work with the top rated ones.
For my case study, I decided to pick one at random: A mystery supplier that sells Patio Furniture. To
find out what that mystery supplier is, sign-up at the bottom of this post to my free ebook which reveals who this
supplier is.
Step 2: Find the low-cost items in their catalog
Now that you’ve found a drop shipper (like my mystery supplier) it is time to go through their
catalog of items and find products that they price lower than their counterparts on Amazon.
Now: the majority of the time, most of the products will be priced higher, or not enough to make a
substantial profit. But that doesn’t matter, because you’ll find some that are priced lower, and these make great
opportunities to make free money! Hard to complain about that.
As an example, browsing through my mystery supplier revealed this product (name has been crossed
out):
I immediately thought this had potential. It is heavy – 30 pounds! And it is made of cast iron, which
is very sturdy. Yet they were selling it for just $59 USD, with free shipping. That was
such a good deal, I was pretty sure that Amazon sellers would have a hard time beating that.
And guess what? I was right. Here was the lowest priced counterpart (item has been crossed out):
So people are successfully selling it for $129.99 on Amazon, and charging $15 for shipping. When you take away fees, you are left with an item that has
over 100% profit margins!
Buy it for $59, and make $63.55 per sale. When you work that out, that is
106% profit margins! It is literally free money because
you only pay fees once someone purchases it from you.
Step 3: Actually list the item and drop ship it
Once you’ve identified winning items like that, you then need to actually list the item, and then
sell them as your own. And trust me, it is really, really easy to do that. Here is how
selling on Amazon works:
All you have to do is sign into your Amazon account, and register to be a seller – it is absolutely
free. Amazon have created a series of helpful video tutorials which show you how to list the item. And if you sign
up for a free account, you can list 40 items for free and only pay fees when you actually make a sale.
So, when someone purchases an item, what do you do? You literally just contact the drop shipper and
buy the item, leaving a note that you would like them to blind drop ship the item to the customer. If they have an
e-commerce store, you can just use that, like if you were buying an item online at Walmart. If they don’t have a
cart, I recommend giving them a call if you can because this will speed up the shipping process for your Amazon
customers. If their website doesn’t have their phone number, you can get it from their SaleHoo listing.
Blind drop shipping usually means that the company will send the item without including their
business details, so that the customer doesn’t know that it came from them. Some companies will also let you
include your contact details with the shipment to further your brand. I recommend that you list it for the same or
very similar price: you don’t want to get into a price bidding war. Just take time to make your listing nicer than
theirs.
